At present, domestic TPU slices are basically monopolized by German BASF company, and the price is expensive, with a price of 50,000 yuan/t.

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer) is composed of isocyanate (curing agent), polyether (or polyester) macromolecular polyol (forming a soft segment main chain structure) and small molecular polyol (or amine) as a chain extender (forming a hard segment structure). ) is a block copolymer composed of the main components. Using different kinds of raw material curing agents, polyols and chain extenders can synthesize various TPU products with various varieties, different properties, various processing and a wide range of uses. TPU can be made into high-modulus special plastics, high-elasticity rubbers, films, or fibers. This is the only TPE that can be made at present.

TPU has excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, high elasticity, high wear resistance and high flexibility, as well as oil resistance, solvent resistance and general chemical resistance. This determines that the TPU has the characteristics of multi-purpose.

With the continuous development and improvement of TPU technology in my country, the localization of TPU slices will surely be realized. It is estimated that in the next few years, the market demand for TPU chips in my country will reach 50,000 t/a. It is reported that domestic investment in TPU chips and melt-spun spandex is booming. (The current price of 20D melt-spun spandex yarn is 120,000 yuan/t), which will promote the rapid development of my country's textile and chemical fiber industry.
