It has thermoplastic processability, which greatly limits the application of starch. However, when a variety of additives are added to starch, thermoplastic starch (TPS) is prepared under the action of heat and shear force, thereby improving the processing performance and performance of starch, and realizing a wide range of applications such as starch processing and molding.

It can be directly blown film, cast, extruded sheet, modified, etc. with PLA, PBAT, PE, PP and other materials through physical blending. The obtained film or sheet product is smooth and delicate, and has good flexibility. The products produced by blending with PBAT, PBS, PCL, etc. can meet the requirements of household and industrial composting.
